Business Development Representative

Location: Waltham, MA

ROLE DESCRIPTION:

  • Report directly to President and is responsible for generating new business opportunities for the Comtel Group sales team
  • Handle different types of communication such as making cold calls, sending emails, networking via LinkedIn, and leading high-level discovery calls with potential clients
  • Conduct research within the telecommunications consulting industry to discover potential leads and sales opportunities
  • Manage potential leads and follow up when necessary
  • Implement new, exciting ways to lead to potential sales appointments
  • Utilize social media as a way to target potential clients
  • Book sales appointment meetings
  • Pass booked meetings off to the National Account Manager
  • Although the Business Development Representative does not close deals, they are an integral part of our team and are under our sales umbrella
  • This position pays a base salary, benefits, and bonuses paid on qualified booked weekly appointments

CANDIDATES MUST HAVE:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Communication, Marketing or another related field
  • Exceptional written and verbal skills

Senior Account Manager

Location: Waltham, MA

Works under the supervision of the Manager of Premier Accounts, Sales and Support.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Build a working relationship with all Premier Accounts assigned as their base
  • Ensure that we have appropriate relationships with key decisions makers and influencers
  • Manage opportunities into that base. This would include, but not limited to, all up sell opportunities; introduction of all Comtel services not currently being used; review of customers current services resulting in the recommendation of any improvements
  • Manage renewals of their base
  • Identify and manage all support issues for their accounts through the Premier Support Reps
  • Manage the overall revenue of their base, including the minimization of controllable churn
  • Identify High Risk Customers and request assistance at appropriate levels within Comtel
  • Responsible for Annual Customer Reviews.
  • Responsible to decrease churn, credits, order cancellations year-over-year
  • Conduct face-to-face meetings with decision makers within customer base

DESIRED MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Education and Experience:

  • High School Diploma
  • Bachelor’s Degree Preferred
  • Minimum five (5) years of experience in Telecom Carrier Sales/Support of Larger Revenue Customers
  • Proven Sales and Customer Retention Results
  • Valid Driver’s License along with Proof of Insurance

NECESSARY KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

  • Above average knowledge of voice and data services
  • Strong people skills
  • Negotiation Skills
  • Good Computer skills
  • Ability to interact at all customer management levels
  • Must be proficient and fluent in the English language

National Account Manager

Location: Waltham, MA

Responsible for strategic sales growth through direct sales efforts.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Prospect aggressively to develop new business through networking and cold calling including follow up to obtain appointments.
  • Carrying a sales quota while coordinating and executing sales presentations to inform, persuade, educate and ultimately close business.
  • Learn develop and implement new ways to differentiate Comtel.

DESIRED MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

The ideal candidate must be self-motivated with a proven track record in telecom / technology sales.  Must be comfortable in a dynamic atmosphere of a technical organization with expanding and diversified technology.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree required
  • 4+ years relevent experience in sales exceeding assigned sales quota
  • Experience in VoIP, data networking, or cloud hosted sales preferred.
  • Knowledge and track record of developed prior success selling IT services or telecommunications.
  • A successful applicant will need to be able to juggle a variety of complicated tasks.
  • Possess strong presentation skills to be able to communicate professionally both verbally and in writing correspondence.
  • Organized and analytical, able to eliminate sales obstacles through creative and adaptive approaches.
  • Candidate must be professional and able to effectively communicate complex  technology in person, on the phone, and via e-mail.
